Delicate Arches Table
I had been thinking about and sketching various wall table designs for a couple of years. I could see curves with simple delicate lines but I couldn’t land the design into something I could build. I could see the arched legs but was stuck on how to attach the table top without cluttering the design. During a hiking trip in Canyonlands National Park it all became clear in a single moment when I saw the Mesa Arch. I thought I could flip this elongated arch and attach it to the table top and support it between the arched legs, already sketched in my mind, and I would have the floating top I needed while preserving the delicate look I was seeking. I couldn’t wait to get home and get to work.
